Cleaning mould off air vents is essential to maintain indoor air quality and prevent health issues. Start by turning off the HVAC system to avoid spreading mould spores. Remove the vent cover and soak it in warm, soapy water for 10-15 minutes. Scrub with a soft brush, then rinse and dry thoroughly. For the vent itself, mix equal parts water and white vinegar or use a commercial mould cleaner. Spray the solution onto the mouldy areas, allowing it to sit for a few minutes to break down the mould. Wipe away the mould with a microfiber cloth or a sponge. For stubborn spots, use a soft brush to scrub gently. After cleaning, make sure the area is completely dry to prevent future mould growth. Regularly inspect and clean your vents to keep your air clean and fresh.
